Henry Fraser

Liza has been studying the relationship between art, memory, movement and healing, and putting her learning into practice, for over ten years. I met her at the University of Oxford during her masters degree on the history of art, where she was already exploring art, memory and trauma, before she went on to her PhD at the University of Toronto. She has the rare combination of sparkling intelligence and deep, embodied compassion and care. Liza’s empathy comes from a place of experience. Because of this, Liza heard me and understood my grief and my experiences in a way that others could not. Few people can weave together rigorous, scholarly learning and relatable human touch, but Liza is one of those few. Liza is a gem.
